Fred Dingler is a graduate of the highly regarded American Academy of Art in Chicago, Illinois. Upon graduation Fred embarked on  a successful 40 year career as a commercial illustrator working for local, regional and national clients. For many years he did sports illustration for Kelly-Russell Studios where he was continually recognized for his illustrations of famous sports celebrities of the time. During this period Fred began to pursue his life-long passion as a teacher by working for 11 years part time at the College of Visual Arts in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 2000 Fred retired from the illustration business to focus on painting & teaching fine art classes and workshops full time at a variety of locations including: The Minnesota River School of Fine Art; The Bloomington Art Center; Savage Art Studios; Northfield Art Center; Hopkins Art Center and his own Dingler Studios. As his reputation expands he is regularly asked to lead workshops at locations throughout the USA.
